FactVapes can contain nicotine and other harmful chemicals, and nicotine is addictive at any age.
Myth"I can stop whenever I want."
FactSubstances change how the brain works, especially a still-developing one. Stopping gets harder, not easier.
Myth"It’s my choice, it doesn’t affect anyone else."
FactIt affects family, friends, school work, and safety — and it’s never just one person’s problem.
How to Say No
- Have a short, ready answer — "No thanks, not my thing" needs no explanation.
- Suggest something else to do instead of just saying no and leaving a silence.
- Choose friends who respect a "no" the first time.
- It’s OK to blame an adult: "My coach/parents test me" ends the conversation fast.
- Walk away. You don’t owe anyone a reason to stay.
