The Director-General (DG) of the Narcotics Control Commission, Mr Kenneth Adu-Amanfoh, on Wednesday, 11th October 2023, joined the Council and Management of the Ghana Immigration Service to launch their seven-year strategic plan at the Alisa Hotel, Accra.
 
The objectives of the strategic plan include expanding and formalising border management through improved surveillance and data-sharing, contributing towards countering of terrorism and other transnational crimes, ensure compliance with migration laws, and optimising the development and management of resources.
 
Launching the strategic plan, Hon. Ambrose Dery, Ministry of the Interior, commended the Ghana Immigration Service for setting up its policy direction.
 
Mr. Adu-Amanfoh was also joined by the Ga Mantse, HRM King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Mrs. Adelaide Annor-Kumi, Chief Director of the Ministry for the Interior, heads of the various security agencies, clergy, and past Comptroller-Generals of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS).
